Helen Glodowtski was born January 19~ 1888 in the town of Fancher to Joseph Glodowski and Anastasia Piotrowski.
Joseph was born in 1863 in Warsaw, Poland, Anastasia was born In 1869 in to Frank Piotrowski and Katherine Andrea. Katherine died giving birth to Anastasia but Frank lived to the age of 93. Joseph Glodowski married Anastasia pr 1886 and they settled and farmed In the Polonla, Wis. area. They had 12 children, Helen being the first born on January 19, 1888. She was followed by Frances, Louis, Joseph, Stanley, Frank, August, Theresa, Verona, Rose, Katherine and Anton. Helen spent her early years. on her parents farm and attended Catholic schools at Polonia and Fancher. As a teenager she got a job at a poor farm then later as a waitress at a hotel in Amherst.She married Arthur Thompson on November 25,1912 in Fancher, Wis. Joseph died In 1933 at age 70 end Anastasia at 85 in 195k.
