      John B. Klopatek of Naperville since 1974

      Funeral services for John B. Klopatek, 76, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville, and proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Born July 31, 1928, in Chicago, he died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at Community Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Naperville. A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, in the chapel at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights. Mr. Klopatek was an Army Air Force veteran and had been employed at Cress Creek Country Club. He was a very active member of the Naperville Moose Lodge #1290 since 1968, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and an avid Cubs fan. John is survived by his wife, Lois (nee Straub); son, Kenneth (Dana) Limong of Aurora; daughter, Diane (Michael) Dexter of Burlington, Ill.; grandchildren, Amy, Chad and Jeremy Dexter, all of Burlington and one grandchild on the way; and a great-grandchild, Cody Michael Dexter of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benedict and Jennie Klopatek. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorials in Mr. Klopatek's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 4709 Golf Road, Skokie, IL 60076.
