Barbara Ann Balaja Marousek 1910 ~ 2006 Barbara Ann Balaja Marousek, 95, passed away January 28, 2006 of causes incident to age at Crosslands Care Center. She was born in Polesovice, Austria now Czechoslovakia March 3, 1910 to Pauline Petrzelka and Ludvik Balaja. She came to America through Ellis Island when she was two years old. She lived in the Chicago area all her life until the last four years when she moved to Sandy, Utah to live with her daughter, Linda. She married Edward Marousek April 10, 1937. They had two daughters, Linda Snyder and Elaine Brown. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to read, play cards and crochet. She is survived by daughter, Linda; grandchildren, Tim (Trude), Gretchen (Blair) Hillman, Amy (Dennis) Tacey, Dan (Deborah), Matt (Marnie), Heidi (Andy) Weeks, and Jay Caldwell; and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Ed; daughter, Elaine; one sister; and five brothers. Interment will be with her husband in Illinois.
