Bernice E. Shulfer, 84, 1800 Sherman Ave., Whiting, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at the Stevens Point Care Center in Whiting.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Potaczek officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass. The rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shulfer was born July 1, 1922, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Anton and Rose (Norlock) Garski.
She was married to William Shulfer on Feb. 5, 1940, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Custer. He died on April 21, 2000.

Bernice E. Shulfer, 84, of 1800 Sherman Ave. died Wednesday morning, Oct. 18, 2006, at the Stevens Point Care Center.
Born July 1, 1922, in Stevens Point to the late Anton and Rose (Norlock) Garski, she was married to William Shulfer on Feb. 5, 1940 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Custer. William died April 21, 2000. Bernice was a homemaker and had earlier worked for Folding Furniture and Great Lakes Water Softener in Stevens Point before retiring. She enjoyed growing flowers, especially violets. She also enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and polka dancing.
Her survivors include son, Carl (Mary) Schulfer of Stevens Point; daughter, Patricia (John) Slowinski of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Rose, Sandy, Paul, Ryan, Robert and John; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Amanda, Joe and Lee, Eliza, Emma and Evan, Adam and Ashley, Austin, Logan and Jacie, Trenton and Evie; great-great-granddaughter, Zoriah, and one great-great grandson on the way; daughter-in-law, Sherry Schulfer of Stevens Point; sister, Agnes Jezeski of Stevens Point; brothers, Frank (Christine) Garski of Stevens Point, Leo (Gerri) Garski of Plover, Ben (Mary) Garski of Waukesha, Donald Garski of Stevens Point and Tony (Janet) Garski of Wisconsin Rapids.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bernice was preceded in death by her son, John; brothers, Edward, William and John; and also an infant sister.
