Gordon Carl Flood, 60, Hudson, a former Stevens Point resident, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, after a battle with cancer.
Private family services were held. Interment was in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.
Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation assisted with arrangements.
Mr. Flood was born Feb. 19, 1942, in Manitowoc, a son of the late Ray and Henrietta (Somers) Flood. He lived most of his life in Stevens Point, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1960 to 1964.
He was married to Betty Thompson in 1970 in Stevens Point.
After service, he went to work as a railroad engineer for the Soo Line Railroad. He transferred to the Hudson area in 1988 and worked there until retiring in 1992.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rick (Paula), River Falls, Mike, Bloomington, Minn., and Casey (Laura), Hudson; one daughter, Kate (fiance Dave Langenohl) Flood, Hudson; one sister, Elaine King, Dover, Del.; and three grandchildren.
