Adolph F. Liss
Adolph F. Liss, 88, 2836 Little Chicago Road, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at St. Michael's Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Schaller officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the services.
Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Liss was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Chicago, Ill., a son of the late John and Katherine Liss. He attended school in Poland and returned to the United States when he was 18.
He was married to Helen Janiszewski on Jan. 20, 1934, at St. Peter Catholic Church.
After the marriage, they settled in Stevens Point.
He was employed at Ellis Stone as a stone cutter and he also worked for Whiting/Nekoosa Paper Miller as a yardman for more than 35 years, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald (Germaine) and John (Shirley), both of Stevens Point; two daughters, Lottie (Stanley) Wysocki, Stevens Point, and Jeanette (Myron) Shulfer, Plover; one brother, Alfons (Marie) Lis, Poland; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one great-granddaughter.
