  Notes	Obituary: Stevens Point Daily Journal, Thursday July 9, 1936 Anton Kirsling, 89, who died Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at the John Yulga home, 332Stanley Street, was a pioneer resident of Portage Co and had lived in Stevens Point for a half century. Funeral services will be held Saturday morningat 8:30 o'clock at St. Stanislaus' church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's cemetery. The body is at Prais funeral home where it will remain until the time of the funeral. Mr. Kirsling was born in Danzig, Germany on April 1, 1847. He came to this country at the age of 18 with his parents, the late Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Kirsling, and located on a farm in the town of Buena Vista. He came to Stevens Point. A fancier of fine horses, Mr. Kirsling ws engaged in theteaming business for a period of years. He retired 35 years ago. His marriage to Rose Weisbrot of New Hope took place in 1875. Mrs. Kirsling died 40 years ago. The family home was at the corner of Fourth Avenue and North Second street for many years. Surviving are five children. Sister Herbert, a member of the Notre Dame isterhood at Milwaukee, John Kirsling of Amherst Junction, Mrs. Joseph Britchel of Bancroft, Fire Chief Frank F. Kirsling, 1309 College Avenue, and Anton Kirsling of Waupaca, and 19 grandchildren. Mr. Kirsling was the last surviving member of a family of several brothers and sisters. Although he had been in failing health for some time, Mr. Kirsling was able to be up and about until a short time before his death. The rosary will be said thisevening and Friday evening at 8'oclock at the funeral home.
