Sister Esther (Euphronia) Kedrowski, 87, a Fancher native and a Sister of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis for 71 years who taught in Stevens Point and Fancher, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at St. Joseph Congregational Home in Stevens Point.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the convent chapel. Burial will follow in the convent cemetery.
Visitation will be at the convent from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a vigil service at 6:30 p.m.
The Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Sister Kedrowski was born Esther Mary Kedrowski on June 11, 1916, in Fancher, a daughter of the late Peter and Valeria (Trzebiatowski) Kedrowski.
She was received into the novitiate of the Sisters of St. Joseph of The Third Order of St. Francis on Aug. 7, 1933, made her first profession of vows on Aug. 8, 1936, and her final vows on Aug. 9, 1938.
Sister Kedrowski taught in elementary schools for 47 years. In Stevens Point she taught at St. Peter School for seven years and at St. Stanislaus School for four years. In Fancher she taught one year at St. Mary of Mount Carmel School. Since 1983 she lived at St. Joseph Congregational Home.
Survivors include two brothers, Clarence (Gertrude) Kedrowski and Neufrey (Maurita) Kedrowski, both of Stevens Point; six sisters, Irene Turzinski and Germaine (Raynold) Konkol, both of Stevens Point, Florence Lisiak, New Berlin, Mary Ann Piotrowski, Hubertus, Henrietta Flees, Milwaukee, and Rita (Ambrose) Wanta, Muskego; and nieces and nephews.
