      Darlene M. Niemczyk, 62, 1209 Second Street, Stevens Point, a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, died Thursday, March 29, 2007, at her home.

      A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Louis officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

      Visitation will be at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Monday until the Mass. The Legion Auxiliary will have a veterans ritual at 10 a.m., and the St. Peter's Rosary Society will combine with the general rosary at 10:15 a.m.

      Ms. Niemczyk was born Sept. 9, 1944, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Chester and Eleanore (Guzman) Niemczyk. She attended St. Peter Grade School.

      She did housekeeping for various parishes and residents of Stevens Point and was a prep cook for Wander Inn in Amherst Junction.

      She was a past president of the American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary and a member of the St. Peter's Rosary Society Rose 39.

      Survivors include seven sisters, Delores Morford and Debra Jakubiak, both of Stevens Point, Dorothy (Larry) Breitenstein and Diane (James) Wengelski, both of Mosinee, Delphine (Norb) Hintz, Amherst Junction, Denise (Jeff) Mullins, West Allis, and Donna (John) Wilkinson, Custer; three brothers, William Niemczyk, Berlin, Chester Niemczyk Jr., Mosinee, and Frank (Tricia) Niemczyk, Custer; nieces and nephews.
